Amber Eyes

In to your amber eyes I stare
Scurrying through my veins
The thoughts of despair
Thoughts of innocence
Killing me from within
Whose growing pride guides him from within
Such is the world I live in
And greets life with indifference
Flowing the drugs
Behind my eyes
Growing the pain
Standing from within
Waiting to tear out and kill what’s left of me
The mindless power
Blinding you
Through a timeless soul
Your blemishes must never fade like portraits where ink and skin meet
Dammed by the truth
Sinned by you
I wait in this shell
To emerge a black Perl
Taken from the eyes of the dead
Corpse heart still beats in me
Just for this once

Stare in the dark spaces

Kill the angels
